If you support Trump, you are supporting hatred and rage with devastating human costs. If you don’t see it that way (and demonstrably far too many of you don’t; such is the nature of a cult of personality) then I recommend sustained self-examination.
I recommend getting outside your echo chamber.
I recommend lengthy, respectfully conducted conversations with people with whom you disagree.
I recommend imagining Trump’s words in Reagan’s, or Churchill’s, or Lincoln’s mouth, and see if they still “play.”
Trade policy is politics. Whether people like my daughter are valid and have the right to exist is basic respect for humanity.
Stop rationalizing evil with a wave of your hand and “it’s just politics.”
