Dear Trump supporters who have had enough:

It’s all right to say so.

It seems today our esteemed president is insinuating that DEI initiatives cause mid-air collisions. Maybe that’s your last straw.

But whether it’s that, or threatening sovereign allies, or starting a trade war with Colombia, or maliciously inflicting trauma on the federal workforce, or naming a health secretary nominee who believes Lyme disease is an engineered bioweapon and COVID-19 skips Jewish and Chinese people, or fear for your transgender friend who legitimately wonders what the follow-up to an executive order claiming they don’t exist might be, or any number of other things, it’s perfectly OK for you to draw the line right now.

“He’s just not making any sense.” No, he isn’t. It’s perfectly fine to say so.

If you’re ready to stop throwing good money after bad, now is fine.

He’s not right. You’re not wrong for thinking so.

He’s un-American. You’re not wrong for thinking so.

He’s dangerous. You’re not wrong for thinking so.

Saying so out loud could be one of the greatest things you could do right now, as it could embolden others to do the same. (Ever see the old Faberge Organics shampoo commercial?)

If you voted for Donald Trump, then you made a grave mistake. But you can start mitigating that mistake right now.
